Welcome to my story

Rev. Feltus Christopher Frost was born on February 17 in Los Angeles, California, to Feltus Elam III and Carol Frost Thomas (Calvin Thomas). Growing up, he developed a strong passion for swimming, singing, acting, and church involvement. After graduating from Dorsey High School, he attended California State University, Dominguez Hills, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Public Administration. He is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Shaw University School of Divinity in Raleigh, North Carolina (online).

In January 1998, his family joined Messiah Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Perry J. Jones. Over the next two decades, Rev. Frost remained a devoted member of the church. At the age of 18, he accepted his call to ministry and was licensed to preach in January 2006. He was ordained by Pastor Jones in May 2008 and later embarked on a six-week missionary journey to Conakry, Guinea, in West Africa. Upon returning from the mission field, he was appointed Youth Pastor of Messiah Baptist Church. He now serves as a preacher and teacher on the ministerial team as an Associate Minister.

Rev. Frost is the host of the podcast Testify to Love with Rev. Feltus C. Frost, a Christian program created to uplift and encourage “whosoever" listens. He also writes inspirational devotional reflections and cultural commentary on current events.

In 2012, he began his professional career with the YMCA, serving in leadership roles at four locations across the country, where he continues to work today. In 2018, he seized a professional opportunity in Washington, D.C. with the YMCA. Amidst the challenges of the global pandemic in the fall of 2020, Rev. Frost became a member of the historical Alfred Street Baptist Church, led by Rev. Dr. Howard-John Wesley, and is still actively engaged through virtual discipleship groups and Sunday school classes.

In 2021, Rev. Frost relocated back to Los Angeles and remains committed to following and serving his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ—steadfast in his devotion and empowered by the sweet Holy Spirit.

“My eager expectation and hope is that I will not be ashamed about anything, but that now as always, with all courage, Christ will be highly honored in my body, whether by life or by death.” - Philippians 4:20 CSB
